Learner & Provisional Licenses

Learners who are already licensed at June 30th, and then undertake DART after July 1st 2007 will still only need to be 17, have 50+ hours experience & 6 months license tenure.

The 120 hour requirement (including 20 hours night driving) + 12 months tenure only applies to Learner Licenses (and all Renewals) issued after July 1st 2007.

New Learner Licenses will be issued for 5 years.
